Today, Chief Stein delivered this Powerhawk P-16 extrication package to Chief Sylvest of Washington Parish Fire District 2. Fire District 8 acquired this set several years ago. Last year, the Board of commissioners deemed this set as surplus. After much searching for a candidate, and some help from St Tammany Fire District 5, Chief Stein located the perfect candidate to accept the donation of these tools. Washington Parish Fire District 2 has no vehicle extrication capabilities, and must rely on surrounding departments for assistance when there is a need. Chief Sylvest expressed his great interest in the tools and stated that one item on his wish list could be checked off. Congratulations on the huge addition to your department Chief!
